University of Jos, UNIJOS is now selling Pre-Degree/Remedial Science Programme for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The University of Jos (UNIJOS) Pre-degree program is a preparatory course designed to help students meet the admission requirements for undergraduate programs at the university. Upon successful completion of the Pre-degree programme, students may be admitted into the university’s degree programs, provided they meet the required criteria.
Entry Requirement
Candidates who wish to apply must possess at least 3 to 5 ‘O’ LEVEL Credits in WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE results or its equivalent in the following Science Subjects; Mathematics or Further Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics and either Biology or Agricultural Science or Geography or Technical Drawing or Fine Art to be eligible for admission.
Application Procedure
Sale of Application Forms has already commenced and Forms are available online through the University website: portal.unijos.edu.ng.
Lectures will commence from 2nd October, 2024.
The Pre-Degree Science Course is strictly for Science students who want to study Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Science Education, Medical Lab Science (MLS),Biochemistry, Science Lab Technology (SLT), Computer Science, Engineering, Agriculture or any single honors Degree Course in Faculty of Natural Sciences and other Science disciplines.
Placement into the University of Jos Degree programmes will be automatic for those who participate in the Unijos Remedial Sciences programme provided the candidate successfully completes the programme as follows:
Candidates who Obtains minimum of 40% in each subject taken with Proven 75% attendance during teaching and Laboratory periods.
Candidates who choose University of Jos as first choice in JAMB/UTME, and has obtained the Unijos cut- off mark (which may be reviewed every academic year).
How Much is UNIJOS Pre-degree Acceptance and School Fees.
The University of Jos, UNIJOS pegged the acceptance of Pre-degree programme at Thirty Thousand Naira Only (30,000) and School fees at Seventy Thousand Naira only (N70,000). That is to say the total amount payable as stated above is Hundred Thousand Naira only (N100,000).
